NRG MEDIA's OMAHA cluster will air a COVID-19 "town hall" broadcast on three of its AM stations on WEDNESDAY (4/29). "OMAHA -- THE NEW NORMAL," hosted by Sports KOZN-A (1620 THE ZONE) host MIKE'L SEVERE and Adult Hits KOOO (101.9 THE KEG) host MATT TOMPKINS, will air 5-8p (CT) on THE ZONE, News-Talk KOIL-A, and Sports KZOT-A (1180 ZONE 2). Among the guests will be Rep. DON BACON (R-NE), NEBRASKA Gov. PETE RICKETTS, OMAHA Mayor JEAN STOTHERT, and many other local authorities discussing the issues OMAHA will face once the pandemic eases.
TOMPKINS said, “While the current effects of COVID-19 are serious and weigh heavy on every single person in OMAHA, now is the time that we must ask the difficult questions, and prepare a city to a new definition of 'normal."
SEVERE added, “I’m excited that we have been able to put together a star studded line-up for this very much needed Town Hall. Our listeners want these and so many other questions answered and that’s our goal.”
GM MARK SCHECTERLE said, “As broadcasters, it’s our job to keep our listeners and the community informed. Our Town Hall guests did not hesitate when to participate and we are so appreciative. Providing the answers to the questions we are all asking is very much needed in OMAHA. I’m just thankful we were able to put this together.”
