A KING COUNTY (WA) Superior Court judge has upheld SNOHOMISH COUNTY's approval of four new towers for Sports KRKO-A (NORTHSOUND AM 1380)/EVERETT-SEATTLE, paving the way for the station to increase its power from 5,000 watts to 50,000 watts, according to the EVERETT HERALD and NORTHWEST BROADCASTERS.
Judge RICHARD A. JONES' ruling upheld the approval, but the CITIZENS TO PRESERVE THE UPPER SNOHOMISH RIVER VALLEY, a group of local residents, voted at their MONDAY meeting to appeal for a third time, this time appealing a SHORELINE HEARINGS BOARD decision approving the towers in DECEMBER. Barring further delays, construction could begin this SUMMER.
