AXS TV and GOOD COP/BAD COP PRODUCTIONS have entered an agreement to add 10 additional episodes of the acclaimed music series, "Live From DARYL's House," to the network’s lineup this FALL. In addition to eight fan-favorite episodes, two never-before-seen entries will premiere when the series returns to AXS TV with a new day and time, starting THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1st at 8p (ET)/5p (PT).
The series kicks off with a pair of sets broadcast for the first time worldwide, starting with DARYL HALL's jam session with STYX front man TOMMY SHAW on OCTOBER 1st, featuring performances of the band's signature tunes “Blue Collar Man,” “Too Much Time On My Hands,” and “Renegade,” as well as HALL & OATES hits “Delayed Reaction”, and “It’s A Laugh".
The following week, OCTOBER 8th, DARYL joins TY TAYLOR, lead singer of L.A.-based R&B quartet VINTAGE TROUBLE, for a night of music featuring the band's originals “Another Man’s Words,” “Nobody Told Me” and “Can’t Stop Rollin’" as well as a cover of THE SPINNERS' “I’ll Be Around,” which was covered on the HALL & OATES album “Our Kind Of Soul.”
"Live From DARYL’s House" was the original pre-pandemic home livestream, a WEBBY-winning program created by DARYL HALL in 2007 which combined music and the Internet in a groundbreaking format. HALL wanted a creative refuge from the grind of touring where he and his musician friends could hang and rock out in a relaxed atmosphere. Since that time, "Live From DARYL’s House" has transformed into a nationally syndicated television series.
Other highlights include appearances and performances by THE EAGLES' JOE WALSH (10/15), GOO GOO DOLLS frontman JOHNNY RZEZNIK (10/22), jazz and soul songstress KANDACE SPRINGS (10/29), CHEAP TRICK (11/5), SMOKEY ROBINSON (11/12), BEN FOLDS (11/19), ZZ TOP's BILLY GIBBONS (12/3), and THE O'JAYS (12/10).
Commented DARYL about this year's lineup, “There are so many great moments. THE O'JAYS episode gets to the core of what I’m really all about.”
Added executive producer JONATHAN WOLFSON, “I’m excited that AXS TV is debuting the TOMMY SHAW and TY TAYLOR episodes, as the fans have been asking for new episodes. Our partnership with the team at AXS TV keeps getting stronger, so I’m proud that we’re able to deliver new content, especially during these challenging times.”
Concluded AXX TV VP/Programming & Scheduling LUCIA McCALMONT, “'Live From DARYL’s House' really resonated with our viewers when it debuted on our network last APRIL. We strive to give our audience the best seat in the house to unforgettable performances and unprecedented access to their favorite entertainers, and this series is a perfect reflection of that. We are proud to have the opportunity to feature it in our programming lineup once again, and we are pleased to be able to extend and build upon this successful partnership with GOOD COP/BAD COP PRODUCTIONS.”
