According to the NEW YORK POST, DR. DRE's estranged wife NICOLE YOUNG is suing the BEATS impresario, claiming she co-owns the trademark to his name as well as that of his classic album, "The Chronic." She alleged in court papers that DRE "secretly" transferred the trademark to a holding company after he forced her out of their home earlier this year.
YOUNG is repped by attorney BRYAN J. FRIEDMAN, whose clients include GABRIELLE UNION and MEGYN KELLY in their suits against NBC.
NICOLE has already initiated divorce proceedings. She has been married to the rap-turned-tech icon for 24 years and has three children with him. The two had been battling over a prenup, with NICOLE asking for $2 million per month in spousal support.
NICOLE's team wants the trademarks to be put in a trust, asking the court for $5 million in legal fees to fight her case.
