Paper Says Franken's Running For Senate In '08

The MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE is reporting that soon-to-be-former AIR AMERICA RADIO host AL FRANKEN will indeed run for the Senate in 2008. 

The paper reports that FRANKEN has called at least two Congressional Democrats and leaders of the state's DEMOCRATIC-FARMER-LABOR PARTY to tell them he will challenge incumbent Sen. NORM COLEMAN (R-MN). FRANKEN announced MONDAY that he will exit AAR on FEBRUARY 14; the paper notes that FRANKEN told listeners at the time that they would be the first to know about his Senate decision.
