'Banana' Joe, Rick Dees Team For Flashback Show

Legendary broadcasters "BANANA" JOE MONTIONE and RICK DEES have teamed up to present the original "retro" show, which MONTIONE started at KIIS/LOS ANGELES in 1991. The show is now running on DEES' www.Rick.com site on-demand, with a new four-hour show updated every SATURDAY. A terrestrial version for syndication is in development and will be available within the month.

Inspired by the original Flashback Show -- at that time the first show to feature '70s and '80s Hits on a Top 40 station -- it has been updated to add more musical eras presented in a 21st Century fashion. Also available on MONTIONE's web channel, www.flashback40.com, the show is hosted by MONTIONE and produced in the spirit of high-energy Classic Top 40, with over 2,000 titles in the library.

MONTIONE, who worked with DEES at both KIIS and KHJ-A/L.A., said, "This show is so exciting for me, working with one of my greatest influences, RICK DEES, and collectively putting together a universal show that Top 40, AC, Oldies and all types of listeners will enjoy."
