The FCC issues three big fines for RF level violations, nailing VISIONARY RELATED ENTERTAINMENT with a $10,000 fine for excessive RF at the transmission facility of its AC KAOI-F (I-FM)/WAILUKU, MAUI, HI, and hitting CBS RADIO's INFINITY BROADCASTING CORP. OF FLORIDA for $10,000 and ENTRAVISION $25,000 for RF violations at the PARK TOWER rooftop antenna facility from which CBS Country WQYK-F/TAMPA and ENTRAVISION's HSN affiliate WVEA-LP/TAMPA transmit.
The Commission also denied PENINSULA COMMUNICATIONS' objection to the sale of the construction permit for new KZNZ/KASILOF, AK by NORTHERN RADIO to KSRM INC. and issued more proposed fines for late renewal applications, $1,500 each to DILLON N.P.R. (K288DZ/DILLON, AK) and LAKOTA COMMUNICATIONS (KILI/PORCUPINE, SD); $7,000 (for late filing and unauthorized operation) to GALLATIN VALLEY WITNESS INC.
