WESTWOOD ONE and WFAN-A/NEW YORK's delay buttons worked, but MSNBC viewers were able to hear the magic as "HARDBALL" host CHRIS MATTHEWS, guesting on DON IMUS' show this morning (2/7), dropped an "f-bomb" while discussing the coming presidential race.
MATTHEWS was lauding former NEW YORK Mayor RUDOLPH GIULIANI and professing his distaste for southerners running for office when he said, "I’m so sick of southern guys with ranches running this country. I want a guy to run for president who doesn’t have a f--king ranch." IMUS immediately checked to see if the comment was bleeped, and, for radio, it was, but MSNBC, which is not subject to FCC indecency rules, aired the comment unedited.
