UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA Triple A WXPN/PHILADELPHIA is again presenting the annual NON-COMMVENTION – this year it will be a virtual event after it had to be canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will take place MAY 5th-7th. It will be hosted on the PATHABLE VIRTUAL EVENT platform. Further, the event will be free for attendees this year.

Highlights of this year’s NON-COMMVENTION include:

• The NON-COMMversation with BRANDI CARLILE, hosted by WXPN’s DAN REED
• Live taping of WORLD CAFE, the daily syndicated music program hosted by RAINA DOURIS, with JAPANESE BREAKFAST 
• Showcases featuring live music performances by THE WALLFLOWERS, JACK INGRAM/MIRANDA LAMBERT/JOHN RANDALL, THE LONE BELLOW, VALERIE JUNE, DEEP SEA DIVER, TUNE-YARDS, AMYTHYST KIAH, NEAL FRANCIS, BARTEES STRANGE, SAM EVIAN, SONGHOY BLUES and TAMAR APHEK
• The annual MUSIC MEETING hosted by SONGLINES’ SEAN COAKLEY (SEAN is still accepting submission until APRIL 30th)
• The inaugural RITA HOUSTON SPIRIT OF NONCOMM award.
