Source Sues BET for $100 Million

The SOURCE has filed a $100 million dollar lawsuit against BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION (BET), alleging that the network has refused to air THE SOURCE AWARDS on 10/25 as stipulated in their contract.
According to SOURCE co-founder DAVID MAYS, BET kept moving the date back and finally decided not to air it.
In addition, The SOURCE is also set to pursue legal actions against EMMIS Top 40/Rhythmic WQHT(HOT-97)/NEW YORK and Dee Jay FUNKMASTER FLEX. This potential suit is based on comments that FLEX allegedly made on the air.
