GMG Easy Listening SMOOTH RADIO/LONDON names GAVIN McCOY Program Controller, effective TUESDAY (2/13), according to the GUARDIAN.

McCOY, most recently Head of Presentation for SAGA RADIO digital stations (recently acquired by GMG), replaces MARK WALKER, who is being reassigned within GMG. He has also programmed Oldies CAPITAL GOLD/LONDON, hosted at the old PRIME TIME RADIO and at BBC RADIO WILTSHIRE, and performed character voices in BBC RADIO 1's old STEVE WRIGHT show. 

SMOOTH RADIO is being rebranded from 102.2 SMOOTH FM as part of a national relaunch and intergation of the former SAGA stations.
