ENTERCOM has named DWIGHT WALKER VP/Market Manager of Classical KDFC, Adult Hits KMAX and AC KOIT in SAN FRANCISCO, which will soon be operated by ENTERCOM under a time brokerage agreement with BONNEVILLE INTERNATIONAL as part of ENTERCOM's deal to acquire the stations. WALKER was previously VP/Sales of CUMULUS' Sports KNBR-A, AAA KFOG and Classic Rock KSAN in S.F. and had been GM of KFOG & KSAN from 1997 until they were sold from SUSQUEHANNA to CUMULUS in 2006.
ENTERCOM RVP DEBORAH KANE said, "We are delighted to have DWIGHT join the ENTERCOM team and soon led our new cluster in the nation’s fourth-largest radio market, SAN FRANCISCO. DWIGHT is uniquely suited to take over the reins of these three premier properties from tenured BONNEVILLE manager CHUCK TWEEDLE. We anticipate setting a date for ENTERCOM to begin operations very soon."
WALKER commented, "What a tremendous opportunity ENTERCOM has in returning to the SAN FRANCISCO market to build on the success that BONNEVILLE has had with its stations here. I am thrilled to be a part of the ENTERCOM team and the excitement that we’re planning for the SAN FRANCISCO listening and advertising communities."
As for TWEEDLE, he remains a Sr. VP within BONNEVILLE and continues to report to COO BOB JOHNSON.
