Michael Spears Succumbs To Cancer

Everyone at ALL ACCESS is very sad to report the passing of legendary programmer and personality, MICHAEL SPEARS (aka HAL MARTIN), following a long battle with cancer today (10/25) in DALLAS.

Among the many highlights of SPEARS' career, he was a personality at CKLW/WINDSOR-DETROIT, was PD at KFRC-A/SAN FRANCISCO, KHJ-A/LOS ANGELES, and was a personality or PD at many DALLAS stations like Top 40 KLIF-A, Top 40 KNUS/DALLAS, Urban KKDA (K104), and KRLD-A. He was a staiton owner at WPLP/TAMPA, and had his own consultancy, THE BEAM.  MICHAEL SPEARS touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed.

The funeral is set for SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6th, at 4p at EAST DALLAS CHRISTIAN CHURCH. A reception will follow at the church. A Celebration of MICHAEL's Life" is also planned at a nearby restaurant.
