Minor league OMAHA STORM CHASERS radio voice JAKE EISENBERG will serve as the fill-in announcer for NEW YORK METS baseball on AUDACY News WCBS-A/NEW YORK, according to a report by the NEW YORK POST's ANDREW MARCHAND. EISENBERG will fill in for HOWIE ROSE for the 20-30 games, largely WEST COAST games, that ROSE will miss this season; ROSE missed games last season due to medical issues and EDDIE COLEMAN, who retired from the station at the end of last week, filled in for him. WAYNE RANDAZZO continues as the other play-by-play voice of the METS.
EISENBERG is in his second season calling STORM CHASERS games on NRG MEDIA Sports KZOT-A (1180 THE ZONE 2)/OMAHA, which recently extended its deal to carry the Triple A KANSAS CITY ROYALS affiliate for another season. He previously called RICHMOND FLYING SQUIRRELS, WINSTON-SALEM DASH, and BROOKLYN CYCLONES minor league ball.
MARCHAND also reports that part-timer BRAD HELLER will take COLEMAN's place as METS reporter on sister Sports WFAN-A-F and pre-game and post-game host for METS game coverage on WCBS.
