Kempler Named to Virgin U.S. Executive Staff

VIRGIN RECORDS has named JEFFREY KEMPLER EVP/Business Affairs and Development of the company’s U.S. operation. KEMPLER, who begins immediately, is based at VIRGIN's headquarters in NYC and reports directly to newly-minted Chairman and CEO JASON FLOM.

In this newly-created position, KEMPLER will oversee all of VIRGIN's business affairs and business development initiatives and activities. In this role, he will work closely with VIRGIN RECORDS U.S. COO and GM LARRY MESTEL and SVP/Business Affairs PHIL WILD.

KEMPLER most recently served as General Counsel and SVP/Business and Legal Affairs for ATARI. From 2000-2004, KEMPLER held the SVP/Busimness and Legal Affairs position for ISLAND DEF JAM MUSIC.
