WKKW/Morgantown, WV PD Mike Vincent Upped To Corporate Country Music Director; WVAQ's Matt Kelly Adds OM Stripes

WKKW/MORGANTOWN, WV PD/afternoon host MIKE VINCENT has been promoted to Corporate Country Music Director for parent company WEST VIRGINIA RADIO CORP, with responsibilities for all of the company’s Country stations. Additionally, longtime Top 40 WVAQ PD and air personality MATT KELLY is upped to OM for the cluster of FM stations, which also includes WKKW and News/Talk/Sports station WAJR.

VINCENT shared news of his promotion on FACEBOOK on FRIDAY (4/22), writing, “I will be working with every Country music station that we have, to work together in every aspect of the music platform. I will also be assisting to launch a new station coming this summer! I will still be on the air every afternoon on 97.9 WKKW, that won’t change. Looking forward to working with our incredible VP of Content, TRAVIS JONES, and the rest of our stellar Country Programming team. I’m thankful and honored.”

"I have been so fortunate to work with some of the best broadcasters that have passed through these halls over the past 11 years,” said KELLY of his promotion. “I can’t wait to continue and build upon everything I have learned from them. VINCENT joined WKKW in 2019 (NET NEWS 3/21/19). He previously was OM for CUMULUS MEDIA/MELBOURNE, FL, as well as PD of Top 40 WAOA (WA1A@107.1) and Country WHKR (NASH FM 102.7). He also did mornings on Classic Rock WROK (95.9 THE ROCKET), afternoons on WAOA, and fill-in/weekend work for NASH FM 102-7.
