CUMULUS MEDIA is advertising for an OM/PD and on-air personality for its MELBOURNE, FL cluster, where TOMMY BODEAN is reportedly set to depart for an as-yet-unspecified new teaching job with the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, whose College of Journalism and Communications operates several radio stations, including WRUF-F (COUNTRY 103.7 THE GATOR).
BODEAN joined the cluster in 2020 as PD for Top 40 WAOA (WA1A@107.1 FM) and Country WHKR (102.7 THE HITKICKER), afternoon driver at WAOA, and OM for the cluster, which also includes Classic Rock WROK (95.9 THE ROCKET) and Sports WLZR-A (1560 THE FAN) (NET NEWS 8/10/20). Prior CUMULUS, BODEAN was SVP/Programming at iHEARTMEDIA's JACKSONVILLE stations and PD at CUMULUS Top 40 WNFN (i106)/NASHVILLE, BONNEVILLE Alternative WSWD/CINCINNATI, iHEART/CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WKFS/CINCINNATI and WNOK/COLUMBIA, SC.
According to the CUMULUS job posting, “The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of programming including music scheduling, coaching on-air staff, station and AM/FM cluster strategy, development of on-air/online promotions and generating associated revenue, oversight and content creation for digital extensions (including streams, websites and podcasts), and have a strong customer service approach towards listeners, staff and sales. Additionally, the candidate will perform an on-air shift on WAOA and act as the Program Director for WAOA and WHKR.”
