FLORIDA GULF COAST UNIVERSITY News-Talk WGCU/FORT MYERS News Dir./Host JULIE GLENN died SATURDAY (4/30) in BONITA SPRINGS, FL after a battle with glioblastoma. She was 50.

GLENN started as a reporter at NBC affiliate WGEM-TV/QUINCY, IL and CBS affiliate KHQA-TV/HANNIBAL, MO before moving to ITALY to get a Master's degree; returning to the U.S.. she freelanced as a wine writer and wrote a wine column for the NAPLES DAILY NEWS and joined WGCU in 2016 as host of "GULF COAST LIVE." moving up to Interim News Dir. in 2017. She also hosted the "GRAPE MINDS" wine podcast with GINA BIRCH.
