Columbia Records Names Wilt Wallace SVP/Urban Promotion

COLUMBIA RECORDS EVP/Promotion PETER GRAY announced WILT WALLACE as the new SVP/Urban Promotion. WALLACE will report to GRAY. Prior to joining the COLUMBIA RECORDS team, ATLANTA-based WALLACE held the role of SVP/Urban Promotion at WARNER RECORDS, where he rose through the ranks from the mix-show team up to SVP. 

GRAY said, “WILT has an impressive & remarkably modern approach to promotion that consistently reaches the top of the urban airplay charts. It’s a genuine thrill to welcome him to our team. We are all excited to see him apply his skills & strategies to our roster of world class artists & material at COLUMBIA RECORDS.”

He replaces AZIM RASHID who recently exited (NET NEWS 4/29).
