NASHVILLE PUBLIC RADIO News-Talk WPLN/NASHVILLE reporter SAMANTHA MAX, soon to join NEW YORK PUBLIC RADIO News-Talk WNYC-A-F/NEW YORK, has been named the 2021 winner of BOSTON UNIVERSITY News-Talk WBUR/BOSTON's DANIEL SCHORR JOURNALISM PRIZE. MAX won the $5,000 honor for her series pf reports on a toxic culture on the NASHVILLE police force, "BEHIND THE BLUE WALL," produced by WPLN with APM REPORTS.
MAX will receive the award, which honors public radio reporters under 35 years of age, at WBUR's "Bright Nights" gala MAY 24-26.
