SNELL told ALL ACCESS, "It's an honor to be selected for this special award amongst some of the greatest talent in the State of GEORGIA. I‘ll cherish this forever. The radio companies I worked for in the past, JAMES BROWN RADIO ENTERPRISE, THE WOODFIN GROUP, DAVIS BROADCASTING, BENNETT BROADCASTING, CUMULUS BROADCASTING, and CLEAR CHANNEL-- thanks for the opportunity.
“So many have contributed to this special honor. I'm so proud to be a part of iHEART RADIO. In all my years I never thought I would be employed by one of the largest radio companies in the world. It's truly a blessing. I want to thank TODD FRANKLIN for believing in me, iHEARTMEDIA MARKET President IVY ELAM for the knowledge and growth, and CHER BEST, my on-air side kick for over 20yrs in AUGUSTA radio. Then there's the team of talent who I've had the pleasure of working with and developing over the years -- TUTU DURANT, MISS MONIQUE, VICKY JAMES, KYDD JOE, STU ROBINSON, SELINA DAVIS, and the list goes on.
“The GODFATHER OF SOUL JAMES BROWN gave me an opportunity years ago and he gave me the name MINNESOTA FATTZ. He believed in me along with a close friend, TONY WRIGHT, Dr. KENNY GREEN, JERRY LABELLE, and special thanks to some of the best programmers who have shared their knowledge with me. That list includes CARL SONNY SOUL BURROUGHS, CARL CONNERS, MIGHTY PEANUT, DOC WYNTER, DERRICK BROWN, ANDRE CARSON, JOHN SHOMBY, ELROY SMITH, TRAVIS DYLAN, BRUCE STEVENS, JAMES ALEXANDER, JAY CRUZ, ROD PHILLIPS, LJ SMITH, and KEN JOHNSON. They are some of the greatest programming minds in the radio industry."
