Independent record label and creative agency BIG.ASS.KIDS (B.A.K) has signed an exclusive joint venture and global distribution deal with ADA WORLDWIDE, WARNER MUSIC GROUP’s independent label and artist services arm. Their first joint project will be SEE YOU NEXT YEAR in partnership with COMPLEX NETWORK’s music discovery site PIGEONS & PLANES.
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR will be anchored by a compilation album featuring ten exclusive tracks from new artists. The inaugural SYNY campaign and compilation will be executive produced by multi-GRAMMY award-winning producer & engineer MIKE DEAN.
DEAN stated, “I caught wind of the SYNY project when it was announced on P&P back in NOVEMBER. I commented under the post asking about the executive producer, shortly after LE'ROY & GUSTAVO reached out to me and told me that it was a big project involving some of the most exciting emerging artists in music. I’m thrilled to be part of it and contribute to an eclectic album along with the PIGEONS AND PLANES + BIG.ASS.KIDS TEAM.”
Pres./ADA WORLDWIDE CAT KREIDICH added, “BIG.ASS.KIDS is redefining what’s possible, bringing together cultural movers and uplifting emerging voices in unexpected ways. The ADA community shares in their passion and creativity and we’re so excited to work alongside LE’ROY and the entire B.A.K team. Already, SEE YOU NEXT YEAR is zeroing in on the importance of music discovery and showing a true commitment to backing indie creators.”
Founder of PIGEONS & PLANES, JACOB MOORE on his decision to partner with BIG.ASS.KIDS added, “We partnered with BIG.ASS.KIDS over a year ago, and we're gearing up to release the first ever PIGEONS & PLANES compilation album with them this summer. What I love about LE'ROY and the BIG.ASS.KIDS team is that no idea is too ambitious to try. This project started off as a simple concept, and it's evolved into one of the most exciting, multi-faceted projects that PIGEONS & PLANES has ever worked on.”
BERNOS said, “Our goal at BIG.ASS.KIDS is to find unique, unconventional ways to merge music and culture with business opportunities, while providing real value for the emerging artists we work in collaboration with and alongside. The ADA team understood and shared my excitement; I am ecstatic to have the support and resources to bring our imagination to life.”
