Nexstar Revenue, Income Rise In First Quarter

NEXSTAR MEDIA GROUP's net revenue increased 8.6% year-over-year to $1.21 billion, driving a 26.2% increase in net income to $251.4 million and a 12.5% increase in Adjusted EBITDA to $642.7 million. The results for NEXSTAR's only radio property, News-Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO, are not broken out in the company's financial releases.

Chairman/CEO PERRY SOOK's statement pointed to the company beating analyst consensus and highlighted "excellent three-year visibility on our growth trajectory, given expected strong mid-term and presidential political advertising and distribution agreement renewals representing a significant percentage of our subscribers over this period."
