The All New 101.5 The Blitz

WASHINGTON INTERSTATE BROADCASTING Classic Rock KUKN-HD2-K286BN (101.5 THE BLITZ)/LONGVIEW, WA will debut a new on-air lineup starting MONDAY, MAY 16th. Rock radio veterans MARCONI and EDDIE BARELLA will host the “Mood Killers” in Mornings and PORKCHOP will handle Afternoons.

MARCONI has worked at KUFO and KNRK/PORTLAND and KNDD/SEATTLE, while BARELLA most recently hosted a show on WESTWOOD ONE’s "Rock 2.0" format and KBPI/DENVER. PORKCHOP has worked at KUFO/PORTLAND. 

KUKN GM/PD JOHN PAUL said, “Since our debut in DECEMBER, I’ve had so many listeners compare us to KUFO when they were Rock.  I figured why not get KUFO jocks on THE BLITZ?  I’m so excited to bring MARCONI and PORKCHOP back to Rock Radio in the NORTHWEST."

MARCONI and BARELLA said, “JOHN PAUL agreed to hire 'Mood Killers' for THE BLITZ as long as we were willing to move his kids into their future college dorms and put together all of their IKEA furniture.  'Mood Killers' is like a buffet of dipping sauces. You'll never know just how bad we are until you've tried us." 

PORKCHOP added, “when JOHN PAUL reached out to me about THE BLITZ, I was over the moon with excitement. He offered me afternoons on one condition, that I never ever wear a man's diaper in the studio. We negotiated I could wear it one day a week.”
