Positive Alternative Radio Stations Hit Spring Fundraising Goals

POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE RADIO has exceeded its fundraising goal as it ends its spring fundraising season. The company's stations include Contemporary Christian WPER/FREDERICKSBURG, VA, WPAR (SPIRIT FM)/ROANOKE, VA, WCQR/JOHNSON CITY-KINGSPORT-BRISTOL, TN, WKAO (WALK FM)/HUNTINGTON-ASHLAND, WV, and Southern Gospel WXRI(JOY FM)/GREENSBORO-WINSTON SALEM-HIGH POINT, NC.

“Our stations are thankful for GOD’s continued blessing and provision,” said EVP BRIAN SANDERS. “We are also humbled by the continued support of our listeners, many of whom are giving sacrificially to keep us on the air, going strong. Our teams train year-round to constantly improve how we share the opportunity to be part of what GOD is doing through our airwaves and outreach to the community. We build our strategy around sharing great stories of hope and healing.”

PAR President EDDIE BAKER said, “Quite a few of our listeners commute a significant distance daily for work, so the jump in gas prices has hit them especially hard."

PAR does not use outside consultants for its fundraisers, a rarity in the Contemporary Christian format.
