WQDR/Raleigh Listener Dons Bikini To Win ‘Wacky For Wallen’ Promotion

CURTIS MEDIA Country WQDR/RALEIGH named listener ERIC ELLIOTT the winner of its “Wacky For WALLEN” promotion after he stood by the side of a road this morning (5/17) wearing a bikini and dancing in an ultimately successful effort to win a trip for two to MINNEAPOLIS to see ERIC CHURCH and MORGAN WALLEN in concert on JUNE 11th. The station spent 10 days challenging its listeners to come up with ideas to show just how “Wacky for WALLEN” they are and what they’d be willing to do to win the trip.

Among the entries, listeners offered to eat wet dog food, lick peanut butter off the toes of the Q MORNING CREW, and be covered in roaches, snakes, and other creepy crawlers. But PD/morning co-host MIKE BIDDLE said, “ERIC stood out for many reasons, and this morning he followed through with his idea of wearing a bikini and twerking for the trip. Lots of listeners drove by honking their horn, and many stopped to get a closer look and take a picture with ERIC. He even had his best friend show up towards the end for the grand finale finish that included awkward moments of twerking and a bubble machine.”
