Update 5/22: ZACH BRYAN's "American Heartbreak" album has broken a SPOTIFY record, becoming the service's most streamed Country album in a single day upon its debut on FRIDAY (5/20)
Original story: SPOTIFY’s program created to spotlight up-and-coming music talent, RADAR US, has named WARNER RECORDS' ZACH BRYAN as its first ever Country artist. BRYAN, an OKLAHOMA native who released his debut major label project, the 34-song "American Heartbreak, TODAY (5/20), joins artists including THE KID LAROI, GIRL IN RED, PINKPANTHERLESS, and more than 500 others who have all joined the program since its inception in 2020 and were exposed to new global fan communities on SPOTIFY as a result.
“We saw that our listeners were responding to ZACH early on with his stripped-down, salt-of-the-earth sound and honest lyrics," said SPOTIFY Head Of Editorial NASHVILLE RACHEL WHITNEY. "In 2020, he was one of our key artists for the launch of our INDIGO playlist and has been a top performer there ever since. It has been incredible to see his growth over the past two years. His talent is undeniable, and his new music has already begun to reach chart-topping status. This is just the beginning, and we’re so excited to introduce him to a broader fanbase through our RADAR US program.”
RADAR US gives artists an opportunity to broaden their fanbase through a comprehensive marketing, content and editorial campaign.
In other BRYAN news, the former U.S. NAVY SEAL, who previously released a pair of independent albums, has been added to the lineup of performers for the Alt-Country PALOMINO FESTIVAL, set for JULY 9th in PASADENA, CA. It will be just his second ever performance in the state, following his debut at STAGECOACH a few weeks ago.
