BYRON ALLEN’s ALLEN MEDIA GROUP's (AMG) digital platform, HBCU GO TV, has partnered with the ARC12 PROJECT: OPEN LINES for a series of one and half hour specials on mental health. The first of the free streaming series will debut this SATURDAY (5/28) at 1p and 7p (ET).
HBCU MORGAN STATE alumnus/Comedian JOE CLAIR will host the premier episode. HBCU GO provides streaming to the nation’s 105 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
HBCU GO Co-founder/Pres. CURTIS SYMONDS said, “We are proud to be the first network to support a revolutionary program around mental health among people of color. THE ARC12 PROJECT: OPEN LINES excites our team because the idea and movement emanated organically from a single HBCU student and his father trying to navigate their own complex mental health journey."
Co-Exec. Producer GARY BERNSTEIN added, “This is revolutionary and cutting-edge programming in the mental health space covering a myriad of issues facing young people including depression, self-esteem, fear, dating, drugs, social media, and suicide. The stories are real and we hope to save lives with this powerful testimony and conversation."
HBCU GO Co-founder/GM CLINT EVANS commented, “We are proud to be a part of THE ARC12 PROJECT: OPEN LINES movement. Their vision is absolutely in alignment with our programming goals and mandates fostering education and consumer awareness around such an integral issue as mental health within the HBCU communities.
HOWARD UNIVERSITY Sr./Co-Exec. Producer NOAH THIERRY said, “I am lucky to have the constant support from my family and access to resources to help me battle my own mental health challenges each and every day. I know so many others within my generation who aren’t as fortunate. I am motivated to change the narrative with this magnificent movement through the media and social/ grassroots platforms such as the ARC12 PROJECT: OPEN LINES.”
