KBXB/Cape Girardeau, MO Re-Brands As 'Freedom 97.9,' Goes Classic Country

Just in time for MEMORIAL DAY weekend, WITHERS BROADCASTING Country KBXB/CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO re-branded from B97.9 to FREEDOM 97.9 on FRIDAY (5/27) and switched to classic Country. The station has once again picked up the syndicated BUD AND BROADWAY show in mornings, which it had originally affiliated with in JANUARY of 2021, but had stopped airing in the beginning of this year.

A post on FACEBOOK announcing the change said, "Let FREEDOM ring in Southeast MISSOURI. The all-new FREEDOM 97.9 is here! We have the very best of MISSOURI's Country legends, ST.
