WYOY (Y101)/Jackson, MS Hires Matt Mony As PD; Promotes Jen Ryan To APD & Jan Michaels New Promotions Dir.

NEW SOUTH RADIO's Top 40 WYOY (Y101)/JACKSON, MS has hired MATT MONY as the new PD for the station and promoted JEN RYAN of the JEN & BUS show to APD. The company has also hired JAN MICHAELS to be the new Promotions Dir. for the six station cluster.

MONY was most recently on air at Top 40 XHITZ (Z90.3)/SAN DIEGO. He also previously served as APD/MD and PM Drive talent on ZFUN in MOSCOW, IDAHO-PULLMAN WASHINGTON. MONY replaces LOUIE CRUZ who left earlier this SPRING. He makes the official move at the end of JUNE. 

RYAN has served as interim PD for the past eighteen months, and MICHAELS served for almost three decades at iHEARTMEDIA in JACKSON up until NOVEMBER 2021.

MONY said, “I am beyond grateful and excited to join this huge, iconic brand. I am also so grateful to work with Y101 GM/MARKET MANAGER BOB LAWRENCE. It’s going to be amazing and we’re going to have a ton of fun.”   

RYAN added, “I am so looking forward to assisting MATT as APD, especially after just coming off our win as MISSISSIPPI 'Station of the Year.' These are very exciting times for us at Y101”.
