WHBC (Mix 94.1)/Canton, OH Holds Record Sale For Local Charity 

WHBC's 'Pop-Up' Record Sale

ALPHA MEDIA Hot AC WHBC-F (MIX 94.1) and News/Talk WHBC-A/CANTON, OH held their first ever record sale this past weekend, spearheaded by Production Director CHAD JENSON.The "pop up shop" was built in the station's garage in the historic WHBC building in downtown CANTON.

WHBC-AM solicited on-air for the past few months, telling listeners they could donate their old, unused vinyl for charity.  The two-day sale raked in  $1978 for WISHES CAN HAPPEN, a local organization ithat helps grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. 

The ALPHA MEDIA cluster is gearing up for the 15th annual WISH-A-THON AUGUST 11th and 12th with a 36-hour "radiothon" broadcast on both stations. 

CANTON Market President LARRY GAWTHROP added, "When you have a passionate team, a love of vinyl, and a great cause- it was no surprise it was a huge success.  The listener's donations were amazing and every box that came in was like finding a treasure."
