HOWARD STERN is scheduled to end his terrestrial radio show on DECEMBER 16, but it'll end in LAS VEGAS on NOVEMBER 7, according to the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, which reports that STERN's contract with INFINITY Alternative KXTE (X 107.5, EXTREME ROCK RADIO) expires on that day and the station's PD CHRIS RIPLEY says that the contract could not be extended. (On THURSDAY's show, STERN said that was not true but did not elaborate) The station, which is remaining in the Alternative format and will carry ADAM CAROLLA's LOS ANGELES-based show starting JANUARY 3, will fill the gap with various local celebrities and artists.
