TAMPA radio personality MASON DIXON has been on the TAMPA BAY airwaves since 1978, but was recently let go by BEASLEY BROADCAST GROUP Adult Hits WRBQ (Q105). However, the 73-year-old broadcast vet has managed to continue his broadcasting career, according to a report in FOX13 NEWS.
DIXON is now at his LUTZ, FL, home playing CHRISTIAN hits on 102.1 and 105.1, presenting "MASON DIXON's '80s, the 80s and more live."
DIXON's computer screen shows the locations of people who are listening to his streaming station, and is planning a podcast as well.
The radio vet has no plans to retire, and he said he keeps working, because he "loves being able to communicate with people."
