ENTERCOM Top 40/Rhythmic WNVZ (Z104)/NORFOLK PD/afternoon talent MICHAEL BRYAN has resigned and has been named PD at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WXXL (XL 1067)/ORLANDO, beginning APRIL 10. He's replacing TOMMY CHUCK, who segued to sister Top 40 WFLZ/TAMPA last year, (NET NEWS 11/29/06), as it's PD.
CLEAR CHANNEL RVPP and CC/ORLANDO Dir./Programming CHRIS KAMPMEIER told ALL ACCESS, "MICHAEL’s had a distinguished record of accomplishments, and making the jump to XL106.7 is an important next step in his career. We have a great team at XL, and I’m thrilled to have MICHAEL step into this important leadership position."
BRYAN commented to ALL ACCESS, "I've been with ENTERCOM for seven years and want to thank all the folks who've help me get where I am today: ENTERCOM/NORFOLK OM DON LONDON; ENTERCOM/GREENSBORO OM BRIAN DOUGLAS; and JOHN ROBERTS (now PD KIMN/DENVER), who gave my first programming opportunity. And, my thanks to Sr. VP/Programming PAT PAXTON who has been a mentor and big help in placing me in these great opportunities with ENTERCOM.
"As far as ORLANDO, my thanks to RVP/Market Mgr. LINDA BYRD, CHRIS KAMPMEIER, and to SVPP MARC CHASE and RVPP BRAD HARDIN for their support and guidance. I am really looking forward to joining some of radio's most brilliant minds at WXXL. The entire XL 1067 staff is awesome. Can't wait to get there. We are poised for big things."
Anyone interested in this PD/afternoon opening should have 3-5 years of programming experience. Send the packages to DON LONDON, 236 Clearfield Ave., #206, VIRGINIA BEACH, VA 23462, or at dlondon@entercom.com.
