KCMP (The Current)/Minneapolis Names Kendall Stewart APD

MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO Triple A KCMP (THE CURRENT)/MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL has named KENDALL STEWART as its new APD, beginning FEBRUARY 6th. STEWART most recently served as PD/Mornings at SAGA COMMUNICATIONS Triple A WCNR (106.1 THE CORNER)/CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA since 2016. During her tenure at THE CORNER, STEWART held the positions of MD/Midday Host, APD/Afternoon Host, and evening host for THE CORNER’S classic rock sister-station, WWWV. She replaces JESSE WIZA, who recently exited the station.

THE CURRENT PD LINDSAY KIMBALL said, “KENDALL is an industry leader who brings immense experience to this role. I can’t wait to see her thrive as a part of this team and help THE CURRENT continue to grow. I’m so pumped for her to join THE CURRENT!”

STEWART added, “I've admired THE CURRENT ever since I started in Triple A and often looked to them for inspiration during my time in CHARLOTTESVILLE. The opportunity to join the team is a real honor and I can't wait to hit the ground running! Let's go!”
