In the latest JACOBS MEDIA blog post, FRED JACOBS continues with another takeaway from this year's CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW (CES) in LAS VEGAS. JACOBS highlights the explosion of the visual component of audio entertainment. JACOBS looks at the need for traditionally audio-only medium to find ways to provide more of a visual component moving forward.
JACOBS notes that at CES the cars and trucks displayed featured bigger and better audio and information screens. He cites what CTA's STEVE KOENIG call "screenification". With that, it's imperative that radio addresses the need for a visual component of its entertainment and information. What can radio and radio stations develop for that "screenification"?
JACOBS also looks at the increasing visual component in podcasting. JACOBS' blog post shared research from the MORNING CONSULT's SALEAH BLANCAFLOR and MARK J. BURNS article "Podcasters First Wanted Your Ears. Now they Want Your Eyes, Too".
