Louisville Radio Host Tim Gerard Girton Passes Away

TIM GERARD GIRTON, who was a fixture on LOUISVILLE radio, working for ALPHA MEDIA Urban WGZB (B96.5) and R&B WMJM (MAGIC 101.3) for a number of years, passed away. He was 58.
WMJM posted on their FACEBOOK page, “It Is With A Heavy Heart, That We Share The News Of The Passing Of One Of Our Beloved Radio Brothers, TIM GERARD! TIM Graced The Airwaves Of Magic 101.3 And B96.5 For Many Years, Back In The Day! LOUISVILLE Had The Pleasure Of Waking Up And Listening To Him Throughout The Day FOR YEARS!! Tim Was Certainly A LOUISVILLE RADIO LEGEND And Will Be Missed By All That Knew And Listened To Him On The Radio! Our Thoughts Are With TIM’s Family, Loved Ones And All That Knew Him!!”
His daughter, TALIA GIRTON, tells BLOCK COMMUNICATIONS WDRB-TV/LOUISVILLE, “He was a person that was really dedicated to being the best person that he could be and constantly developing his self and learning new things and allowing his creativity to shine through his work in radio, through his work in writing. He was just constantly creating. He had this amazing energy -- this kind warm energy that he just gave off to everyone."
