GEORGIA, FLORIDA and MISSISSIPPI radio veteran BOB LIMA passed away YESTERDAY (1/18) morning after being diagnosed with cancer last JUNE.
LIMA was an established on-air personality and programmer for CLEAR CHANNEL, PAMAL and NEW SOUTH RADIO, working at stations including WGMA/SILVER SPRINGS SHORE, FL; WVMI and WQID/BILOXI, MS; 98 FROG/DAYTONA, FL, and WOAH/GLENNVILLE/HINESVILLE, GA.
NEW SOUTH RADIO and MS BROADCASTERS President CLAY HOLLADAY recalled BOB's "big personality," while working for his dad, EDDIE HOLLADAY, "BOB was the Operations Manager in BILOXI, but everyone really thought of him as the GM.”
LIMA is survived by his wife STELLA, daughter JULIE, and grandchildren KAYLA, AUSTIN and RILEY. Look for arrangements to be announced at www.boblimaradio.com.
