Newly inducted ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME member DOLLY PARTON has recruited STEVIE NICKS, JOHN FOGERTY, PAUL McCARTNEY, STEVE PERRY, STEVEN TYLER, P!NK and BRANDI CARLILE to be part of her upcoming Rock album. The entertainer revealed the news on ABC's THE VIEW on TUESDAY (1/18), just one day before her 77th birthday.
There is no release date on the album yet, but it will feature covers of LED ZEPPELIN’s “Stairway to Heaven” (which PARTON previously cut on 2002’s HALOS & HORNS) and the ROLLING STONES’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction." ROLLING STONE magazine reports that PARTON is also working on trying to get MICK JAGGER on the project, but so far no luck. Parton revealed that P!NK and CARLILE will assist her on his song.
Meanwhile, determined to make a mark on her birthday, PARTON released a new single TODAY (1/19). Click here to hear "Don't Make Me Come Down There."
In other news, PARTON has just expanded her DUNCAN HINES Baking Collection with cornbread, buttermilk biscuits, and two brownie mixes. The icon launched the limited edition collection last year with cake mixes and icing, all inspired by family recipes. The new editions will be available later this month.
