CURTIS MEDIA GROUP Classic Hits WZJS-W256CV (CLASSIC HITS 100.7 AND 99.1)/BOONE, NC morning host TOM LANIER has retired after 33 years in the market and 51 in the business, reports the HIGH COUNTRY PRESS. LANIER's last day on the air at WZJS was TODAY (1/20).

LANIER started his radio career at WATA-A/BOONE; he has also done extensive freelance voiceover and on-camera work. The PRESS reports that LANIER and his wife MARGARET are moving to CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA to be close to family.
