Art Vuolo Was Busy This Week: Jerry Blavat Memories; Specs Howard Documentary

RADIO’s BEST FRIEND, ART VUOLO, was working overtime this past weekend on several big projects.

The first was producing a video of some of JERRY BLAVAT’s on-air career following his passing last week (NET NEWS 1/22) at the age of 82.

BLAVAT, who self-proclaimed himself THE BOSS WITH THE HOT SAUCE and THE GEATOR WITH THE HEATER, was truly one of the first of his kind – DJs who really grabbed young teen listening in the late '50s and early '60s and helped shaped musical tastes with his nightly shows.
