DAVID SPATZ, who was involved in ATLANTIC CITY, NJ local media for decades, including on TV, as a former writer/editor of the PRESS of ATLANTIC CITY and for a number of years with LONGPORT MEDIA News/Talk WOND/PLEASANTVILLE, NJ as midday host, passed away.
WOND’s AC MIKE LOPEZ posted on FACEBOOK, “David was a true professional in whatever he laid his pen or voice on. I had the pleasure of spending time talking with David on several occasions at the studio or a high rise we both lived in. He was always gracious and willing to spend time with me and others, he was always great for some advice or just a causal chat. I told him on several occasions that I was & am a true fan as well as a viewer of his many award winning tv shows through the years, as well as print and, of course, radio. DAVID you will certainly be missed by your viewers listeners and personally by me. Thank you for all your years of sharing your wonderful work with us. May the good Lord bless your entire family and friends. May he post a hedge of protection around each of them and post his angles as angels as well.”
JOHN FROOJIAN, Executive Director for the Hughes Center for Public Policy at Stockton University told the PRESS of ATLANTIC CITY, “For all of his decades of success and influence, he remained a nice guy and a positive ambassador for WOND and the region. He was a smooth interviewer who got the best out of his radio guests. DAVE was always a professional, even when he was cheerleading for the entertainment business he so obviously loved. He will be missed."
