Wasserman Music Kicks Off Second Entertainment Accelerator Experience Program At Howard University

WASSERMAN MUSIC's second Entertainment Accelerator Experience music business education program is starting TODAY (1/25) at HOWARD UNIVERSITY in WASHINGTON. The program, part of WASSERMAN's partnership with COLOR OF CHANGE's #ChangeMusic initiative, will consist of a 10-week curriculum for 30-60 students running TODAY through FEBRUARY 24th and MARCH 13-APRIL 17, follows last year's program at TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY in NASHVILLE.
Guest lecturers include WASSERMAN's EVP/Managing Exec. LEE ANDERSON, VP DEMONT CALLENDER, SVP/Marketing SAM ALPERT, Senior Director of Inclusion, Equity & Diversity LINDSAY LABENNETT, and Director of Social Impact DENISE MELANSON; BROCCOLI CITY's MARCUS ALLEN and BRANDON MCEACHERN; MOVE FORWARD MUSIC's ARTY FURTADO; manager TY BAISDEN; ESSENCE's TANISHA JONES; SAINT HERON's DIANE "SHABAZZ" VARNIE; GOLDENVOICE's RHEA ROBERTS-JOHNSON; manager DUTCH; and DJ JUST BLAZE, with more to be named in coming weeks.
ANDERSON said, "We couldn't be more excited to connect with the promising students at one of the country’s most prestigious schools to help set them on the path to launching successful music industry careers. We want to help grow the next generation of industry leaders to create a lasting impact on the music business."
CALLENDER added, "Engaging with future leaders in the business is so important to me and to WASSERMAN. We want to create access and opportunities to learn from some of the smartest people we know, to foster a meaningful and well-rounded understanding of our business for HOWARD students."
