Samantha Sansevere Joins KEEY/Minneapolis Morning Show As McKaila Poppen Announces Departure

MCKAILA POPPEN is departing the CHRIS CARR & COMPANY morning show at iHEARTMEDIA Country KEEY (K102)/MINNEAPOLIS after a decade with the station, where she began as a promotion intern and then a paid Promotions Asst. In 2015, she was promoted to Digital PD and became a member of CARR's morning show, later adding morning producer responsibilities. Her last day will be TUESDAY, JANUARY 31st.

Succeeding her in the morning show role is SAMANTHA SANSEVERE, who previously was morning show producer for sister Talk station KTLK-A (TWIN CITIES NEWS-TALK) and host of the company’s community affairs program, "MINNESOTA COMMUNITY."

POPPEN, a MINNESOTA native shared her decision to leave radio in a blog post on the station's website, titled "Thanks For The Memories, K102." She writes, "I became so close with my co-workers, but specifically CHRIS CARR ... [that] he even officiated my wedding in 2019." She added, "This was not a decision I made lightly, and it may not be a forever decision. But, I feel like at this moment, I am being tugged to make this leap. I've spent so much of my life trying to control every aspect of it and in the last year I've realized how stupid that is and so this year, I've made my mantra to surrender and that's exactly what I'm doing right now - surrendering it all to GOD."
