The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) presented industry honors from 2022 at its CMA TOURING AWARDS MONDAY night (1/30), at MARATHON MUSIC WORKS in NASHVILLE after two years of the event being postponed due to the pandemic. Hosted by KEITH URBAN, the evening celebrated the second largest category of membership within CMA.
CREATIVE ARTISTS AGENCY (CAA) Music NASHVILLE co-head JOHN HUIE was honored with the CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award (NET NEWS 1/18), presented by CAA NASHVIILE co-head ROD ESSIG. The night's highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement award is given to an individual who has positively impacted and contributed to the growth of touring throughout the years.
Additionally, during the ceremony, URBAN took time to honor his longtime production manager, RANDY “BAJA” FLETCHER, who passed away while on the road in 2021. FLETCHER's daughter, NATALIE FLETCHER, spoke about her father’s legacy as well as her own experience on the road with URBAN this past year.
