UMG Nashville Promotion Team Restructuring Results In Layoffs

A restructuring at UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP NASHVILLE's promotion department has resulted in at least two departures on FRIDAY (2/3): longtime CAPITOL NASHVILLE Dir./WEST COAST Promotion MEGAN YOUNGBLOOD and MERCURY NASHVILLE Dir./Regional Promotion/WEST GREG RANEIRI. 

YOUNGBLOOD joined CAPITOL NASHVILLE in 2017, then marking her return to the CAPITOL family after previously serving five years as Sr. Dir/Top 40 Promotion based out of the company's LOS ANGELES division before leaving in late 2016. YOUNGBLOOD's career also includes eight years with RCA and three with TRI-STATE PROMOTIONS.

RANEIRI joined MERCURY last JULY from the West Coast Regional Mgr./Promotion position at QUARTZ HILL RECORDS. Formerly APD/MD and night host at AUDACY Country KSON/SAN DIEGO and a 12-year radio veteran, RANEIRI joined QUARTZ HILL in late 2020. His previous radio stops include WRDW and WXTU/PHILADELPHIA; WJDQ/MERIDIAN, MS; and KTMT/MEDFORD, OR.
