TODAY (2/13) is WORLD RADIO DAY, the annual international celebration of the radio medium founded by UNESCO in 2011 and declared as an "International Day" by the UNITED NATIONS General Assembly in 2012.
The theme of this year's edition is "Radio and Peace," highlighting independent radio's role in promoting peace and avoiding conflict.
