The mere mention of his name may cause PHILLIES fans to grit their teeth, but former PHILLIES reliever MITCH "WILD THING" WILLIAMS is joining CBS Sports WIP-A/PHILADELPHIA for weekly appearances as a member of ANGELO CATALDI's morning team. 

WILLIAMS, remembered for serving up the hanging slider that TORONTO's JOE CARTER belted for a WORLD SERIES-ending home run in 1993, has been making guest appearances on CATALDI's show in recent months and will appear once a week, replacing former major league catcher JOHN MARZANO in the morning rotation. MARZANO exited WIP to join MLB.COM as a fulltime analyst.
