RADIO ONE and its REACH MEDIA are readying a rollout of a new African-American-oriented syndicated talk network that will feature the Rev. AL SHARPTON (1-4p weekdays) as one of its hosts.
The BOSTON GLOBE's CLEA SIMON, who interviewed RADIO ONE's ALFRED LIGGINS III about the new network, reports that WILD-A/BOSTON, which has flipped to Gospel from Urban (which moved to WBOT, now WILD-FM), will carry the talk programming, as will up to 10 other RADIO ONE stations.
The company's WOL-A/WASHINGTON and WOLB-A/BALTIMORE are already in the Talk format and would carry the network's programming. LIGGINS said that the network will feed programming 10a-7p ET weekdays and that WQXI-A/ATLANTA sports talkers "2 LIVE STEWS" (brothers DOUG and RYAN STEWART) will handle 4-7p.
