CBC Radio One Revamps Schedule

CBC RADIO ONE is extending local afternoon drive time shows in TORONTO, VANCOUVER, and WINNIPEG by an hour to start at 3p local time beginning NOVEMBER 7. 

The network is also adding a half-hour show, "THE NATIONAL PLAYLIST," with "50 TRACKS" host JIAN GHOMESHI and SHELAGH ROGERS, for 11:30a weekdays, and "THE ROUNDUP" is being cancelled in favor of the VANCOUVER-based music and talk show "FREESTYLE" with KELLY RYAN and CAMERON PHILLIPS. "THE ROUNDUP" host TETSURO SHIGEMATSU will remain with the CBC in its VANCOUVER newsroom.
